Yokogawa Unveils New Open Automation Tools

Yokogawa Electric Corporation has introduced the OpreX™ Open Automation SI Kit and the OpreX OPC UA Management Package as key components for implementing Open Process Automation™ (OPA) systems. These products are designed to improve interoperability and integration across a variety of equipment and systems, enabling optimized costs and the adoption of advanced technologies. Complying with the Open Process Automation Standard (O-PAS™), these tools can facilitate integration of devices and applications from different suppliers, aiming to streamline processes and enhance overall system efficiency.

The OpreX Open Automation SI Kit offers tools for enabling Distributed Control Nodes (DCNs) within OPA systems, supporting efficient integration and control of diverse equipment. The OpreX OPC UA Management Package provides services for managing OPC UA-based applications, including secure communication authentication, alias name resolution, and alarm parameter management. These products are intended to support the development of secure and interoperable process control systems, enhancing automation and real-time data management in complex operational environments.
