Epiroc's Water for All initiative, in partnership with Atlas Copco Group, is celebrating 40 years of providing clean water and sanitation to communities in need. Driven by employees at a local level, the initiative has reached millions of people globally, focusing on sustainable water solutions like well drilling, rainwater harvesting, and sanitation education. A significant portion of the efforts is directed towards schools and improving conditions for women and girls.
The initiative has brought measurable benefits, such as enabling girls to attend school by reducing the time spent fetching water, allowing women more time to engage in work or business, and improving safety with the construction of private latrines. Recent projects include building rainwater cisterns for indigenous communities in Mexico, ensuring long-term water access for villages in Uganda, and aiding flood-affected areas in Ukraine.
"The need for clean water and sanitation keeps growing, making Water for All more important than ever," stated Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s President and CEO. "We are proud of the initiative's impact and the dedication of our colleagues who make it possible."
