AtkinsRéalis has been appointed as Programme Delivery Partner by Anglian Water Services, one of the largest water and wastewater utilities in England. Working alongside joint venture partners Mace and Turner & Townsend, the company will help deliver a £1 billion agreement forming part of Anglian’s wider £11 billion infrastructure investment plan. The initial phase, known as Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8), runs until 2030 and represents the utility’s largest-ever capital programme.
The agreement spans the full delivery cycle of projects, including planning and execution of major initiatives such as two new reservoirs in eastern England. Scheduled to run through to 2040, the contract is among the largest of its kind in the UK water sector. AtkinsRéalis and its partners will operate in close collaboration with Anglian Water to support long-term goals around water resilience, environmental performance, and regional growth.
“This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to ensure the delivery of a safe, resilient and clean water supply for millions of people in their homes, schools and businesses for many years to come.” said Mike McNicholas, Managing Director for Infrastructure UK & Ireland at AtkinsRéalis.
