Emerson Unveils GenAI-Enabled Advisor for Power and Water

Emerson (NYSE: EMR) has introduced the Ovation™ AI-enabled Virtual Advisor, described as the first generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) advisor integrated into an automation system built for the power and water sectors. The tool is part of Emerson’s Ovation 4.0 Automation Platform and is designed to provide real-time insights for improved efficiency, anomaly detection and maintenance forecasting, with the broader aim of strengthening operational resilience.

The system embeds localised GenAI to deliver dynamic guidance and contextual support within the Ovation environment. Operators can access system documentation, troubleshoot issues, identify optimisation opportunities and address potential maintenance concerns through natural language interaction. Drawing on Emerson’s long-standing expertise in power and water, the platform is intended to support smarter decision-making and more consistent equipment performance across critical infrastructure.
