Amiblu Advances Trenchless Pipe Guidelines

Amiblu Italy has played a leading role in shaping technical standards for trenchless pipe rehabilitation, contributing to the Italian Association for Trenchless Technology (IATT) document on “Rehabilitation of wastewater pipes and sewers with prefabricated rigid pipes (discrete pipes).” The guidance, now a reference for water operators, designers, and contractors, provides structured instructions for discrete sliplining in solids-free sewers and summarizes applicable technical requirements and quality control measures.

Discrete sliplining involves inserting prefabricated GRP pipes into existing pipelines, assembled on site to restore both hydraulic function and structural stability. The technique accommodates large-diameter and non-circular pipes in pressure and non-pressure systems, offering advantages such as fast installation, versatility, and low environmental impact.
