Stantec has been selected as program manager for the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority’s (DC Water) Process Facilities Program (PFP), part of a $9.6 billion, 10-year capital improvement initiative. The program includes upgrades to the Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, the largest facility of its kind in the world, and improvements to upstream stormwater and wastewater pump stations. Stantec will lead a team of national and local subconsultants to support the delivery of these projects.
In its role, Stantec will manage infrastructure upgrades and provide planning, design, and construction management services for wastewater and stormwater systems. The company will also assist DC Water with future wastewater system improvements, integrating new technologies, and implementing collaborative delivery strategies to address long-term growth and operational requirements.
“Our team’s experience with large-scale wastewater programs and collaborative delivery will support DC Water’s vision for decades to come.” said David Goldwater, senior vice president at Stantec.
