Hitachi Introduces CONNECT Fleet Management System

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) has launched CONNECT, an integrated fleet management system designed to streamline operations for its authorized dealer network and customers. CONNECT offers access to real-time performance data on Hitachi and other equipment brands, with features such as custom reporting and geofencing. The company says that the platform allows for easy monitoring of productivity and equipment performance from tablets and smartphones.

According to HCME, CONNECT is also integrated with Hitachi’s ConSite service, enabling users to track alerts for potential issues directly on the CONNECT dashboard, intended to support efficient fleet management. Customizable by project and location, the system allows users to monitor and analyze metrics including idling, fuel consumption, and CO2 emissions, reportedly helping teams to optimize equipment usage across sites.

"We understand that our customers require smart and efficient solutions to stay ahead in this evolving industry, and we will continue to focus on digitalisation and innovation to meet their needs," said Pooja Gupta, HCME Product Manager Solution Linkage.
