Hitachi Construction Machinery Recognized for Sustainability

Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. has been selected as an "Environmentally Sustainable Company" for the first time at the 6th ESG Finance Awards Japan, sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment. The award recognizes companies that integrate environmental risks and opportunities into their management strategies while demonstrating transparency in disclosing key sustainability goals, governance, and long-term environmental initiatives.

Efforts to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050 played a key role in this recognition. The company is working to reduce CO2 emissions, develop sustainable technologies, and expand its value chain business—such as remanufacturing, rental, and used equipment—to extend product lifecycles and minimize resource consumption.

The company says that it will continue to develop innovative and reliable solutions while working closely with customers to support sustainable development in the construction machinery industry.
