Badger Meter, Inc. has unveiled the new SoloCUE Flow Device Manager mobile app, which they say allows operators to save time during commissioning and troubleshooting by connecting via Bluetooth® without reopening the meter enclosure. They add that users can discover meters by tag name, monitor live readings, compare differences in parameters and view alarm history and other diagnostic information. The meter configuration settings can also be saved as a file to a mobile device and shared using the available services after commissioning is complete.
The app is available in five different languages on Android™ and iOS® devices, and allows technicians to enter pipe dimensions remotely, view signal strength while installing transducers and view flow readings while checking nearby pump or valve operations, the company explain.
Dynasonics® TFX-5000 Ultrasonic clamp-on meters now feature optional Bluetooth settings, allowing customers to enable or disable them depending on individual needs. The Bluetooth connects to one mobile device at a time, preventing other users from overwriting settings while working.
