EnviroChemie is supplying water treatment and polishing technology for a large-scale plant manufacturer in Germany. The company says the treatment systems will provide high-purity water for a 100 MW PEM electrolyser, ensuring the required water quality for efficient hydrogen production.
The process involves treating water from a decentralised pretreatment plant using an Envopur ION ion exchanger system, followed by an additional mixed-bed polisher resin unit. The plants are expected to be operational by early summer 2026.
EnviroChemie adds it was initially commissioned for engineering the treatment systems and has now been awarded the contract for their construction.
