Hidroconta Launches Centaurus Smart Meter in Valencia

Hidroconta has installed 136 Centaurus smart water meters in the Cruz de Gracia residential area of Valencia, enabling remote monitoring of water consumption. These devices, equipped with NB-IoT technology, provide real-time monitoring, leak detection, and extended coverage with low energy consumption, ensuring battery life of over 15 years.

The Centaurus meters transmit consumption data and alerts to Hidroconta’s Demeter platform, facilitating the management of hydraulic resources. Alerts include leak detection, breakages, reverse flow, and flow anomalies.

This project aims to improve water management efficiency, increase transparency, and support sustainable practices while optimizing operational costs and informing infrastructure decisions.
