Hidroconta has supplied over 1,600 remote reading modules for Orthem’s digitalization projects in several municipalities in southern Spain. The collaboration forms part of ongoing efforts to modernise water infrastructure and improve the management of supply networks across Granada and Jaén. The adaptability of Hidroconta’s equipment allowed integration with existing meter parks of varying models and ages, supporting the transition to more efficient monitoring systems.
Projects in Albanchez de Mágina and Campotéjar incorporated Hidroconta’s Iris communication modules, including versions equipped with NB-IoT connectivity. These modules enable remote data collection from a range of water meters, feeding into Hidroconta’s Dmeter 360 platform, which consolidates and analyses consumption information for operators in real time.
Hidroconta’s collaboration with Orthem reflects the increasing role of digital tools in improving water efficiency and network transparency. The company continues to focus on technologies that enable utilities to better understand consumption patterns, detect anomalies, and make informed decisions about resource management.
