Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua (XVPGA), an advanced software and analytics platform, has been recognized with the Smart Network Monitoring award at the Water, Wastewater & Environmental Monitoring (WWEM) event in Birmingham, UK. The platform, which was developed in partnership with data management specialist Idrica, provides water utilities with a comprehensive view of water and wastewater networks, helping to reduce combined sewer overflows.
The award highlighted the platform’s successful implementation in cities such as Buffalo, New York, and South Bend, Indiana, where it has significantly reduced storm overflow volumes and improved network efficiency. In the UK, utilities are currently evaluating the technology’s potential for reducing the environmental impact of combined sewer overflows, in line with the monitoring requirements set out in the Environment Act 2021.
