ACCIONA recently sponsored the 4th IWA-YWP Spain National Conference in Bilbao, an event organized by the Young Water Professionals (YWP) Spain network alongside the Spanish Association of Urban Water Management Companies (AGA-AEAS), the Bilbao School of Engineering (UPV/EHU), and the Bilbao Bizkaia Water Board (CABB). The congress provided an opportunity for young professionals in the water sector to exchange ideas and learn from peers through a series of networking sessions and technical presentations.
ACCIONA contributed several presentations, with topics ranging from innovative bioindicators for desalination processes, presented by Núria Zamorano López, to advances in reactor modeling, delivered by Carla Vázquez. Additional sessions included Daniel Garcia Huertas' insights on submerged ceramic membranes in seawater treatment and Miriam Carolina Pérez Cova’s discussion on solutions for removing contaminants in water treatment systems. ACCIONA also highlighted a modernisation project in Muskiz, showcased by Virginia Cabrillo in a poster session.
Beyond these presentations, the conference featured workshops, roundtables, and technical visits, offering attendees practical insights and a platform to further their professional development in the water industry.
